Position Overview

Join our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), providing high-acuity care to critically ill post-surgical patients in a fast-paced ICU environment. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to respond rapidly to patient changes.

Responsibilities

  • Care for critically ill post-surgical ICU patients
  • Manage ventilators, drips, and invasive monitoring
  • Monitor and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians and ICU interdisciplinary team

Requirements
  • Active New York State RN License
  • 1–3 years ICU experience (SICU, MICU, or CCU preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA required)
  •  NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required or obtained during onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification
  • Prior SICU experience strongly preferred
