Overview
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, a 384-bed community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for full-time Medical Surgical positions on day and night shifts.

As part of the Medisys Health Network, our hospital delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to a diverse patient population across Queens. This is an opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with strong clinical support and union-backed stability.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for adult patients
  • Monitor patient conditions and vital signs
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • BSN preferred
  • Current New York State RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience in an acute or subacute setting preferred
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
