Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Outpatient Clinic
East New York, Brooklyn | Full-Time Day Shift
$40.36–$47.01/hour DOE

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our East New York outpatient team at 3080 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208.

This is a hands-on ambulatory nursing role for an LPN who is comfortable working with patients of all ages and can move confidently between patient rooming, clinical procedures, medication administration, documentation, and supporting providers throughout a busy clinic day.

What You’ll Do

  • Triage and room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist physicians, PAs, NPs, RNs, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Administer medications and document nursing care and patient responses
  • Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and Point-of-Care Testing (POCT)
  • Review and maintain vaccination records and documentation
  • Support patient education and follow-up care
  • Help maintain an efficient, safe, and patient-centered outpatient environment

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications | Please Read Before Applying

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
  • Current New York State LPN license
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience required
  • Ability to work alternate weekends
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to a culturally diverse patient population
  • Ambulatory care or outpatient clinical experience is strongly preferred.

Compensation
$40.36–$47.01/hour, depending on experience
