Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures according to physician orders and hospital protocols
  • Position patients and operate digital X-ray and fluoroscopy equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review patient identification, history, and imaging requisitions prior to procedures
  • Maintain radiation safety standards for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Upload and manage imaging studies through the hospital PACS system
  • Assist physicians during fluoroscopic and interventional imaging procedures when required
  • Maintain equipment performance and report technical issues as needed
  • Provide compassionate patient care while ensuring safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Current New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (R.T.) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
  • 1–2 years of hospital-based radiologic imaging experience preferred, though qualified new graduates may be considered
  • Experience with digital radiography, PACS systems, and fluoroscopy procedures preferred
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety standards and imaging protocols
    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
  • Excellent patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
