Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and accurate imaging
  • Operate and optimize ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images
  • Document findings and patient information in PACS and hospital systems
  • Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures as needed
  • Maintain equipment quality, safety, and compliance with hospital and ACR standards
  • Follow infection control protocols and patient safety guidelines

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Ultrasound Technology program
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential required
  • Current New York State license (if applicable)
  • 1–2 years hospital-based ultrasound experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong patient care, communication, and technical skills
