Contract and Category Specialist
The Contract and Category Specialist will coordinate and provide project management for hospital Services and Capital orders and liaison with hospital Supply chain functions and administration departments to identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities , within the indirect spend categories.
In this role, the specialist, supports supply chain contracts, data and systems, ensuring maximization of GPO, aggregation group and local contracts for high contract penetration. Identifies targets of opportunity through analysis of data to ensure price accuracy, supplier performance.
Procurement: Work with high intensive departments like Bio-Med, Engineering, IT, Purchasing, Contracting, Sourcing to manage contracts and services. Manage data in Lawson ERP. Reporting and expediting transactional issues b/w purchasing, AP and finance as needed.
Contract Support: Exercise contract renewals, service and maintenance agreements.
Lean: Recognizes opportunities to increase efficiencies and visibility, first time quality measures, and process mapping, and drives changes accordingly.
Communication: Provides effective communication to management, co-workers, and suppliers to establish collaborative communication, especially as related to activity status of supply chain initiatives. Serves as a professional and knowledgeable representative of organization to outside/inside stakeholders.
