Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years in a clinical or medical office setting, preferably in surgical coordination.
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and hospital scheduling systems.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients, families, and medical professionals.
- Attention to detail for managing surgical records, patient files, and insurance documentation.
- Problem-solving abilities to handle scheduling conflicts and unexpected changes.
- Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus.
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) is a plus.)
