We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager – Wound Care to oversee and lead our Wound Care Prevention Program. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic nursing leader who is passionate about improving patient outcomes through evidence-based wound care practices.

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse Manager – Wound Care will provide clinical leadership for the promotion of optimal patient outcomes by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, coordinating patient care initiatives, and ensuring effective utilization of resources throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the delivery of comprehensive wound care services.
  • Ensure daily wound care treatments and operational workflow run efficiently.
  • Develop and monitor unit-specific quality improvement and performance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Serve as the clinical expert for wound care best practices and pressure injury prevention.
  • Mentor, educate, and support nursing staff in wound assessment, prevention, treatment, and documentation.
  • Evaluate patient treatment plans and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
  • Promote compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding wound prevention and treatment plans.

Requirements
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License BSN required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Wound Care Certification (WOCN/WON) required
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who are:

  • Nurse Practitioners with Wound Care certification (WOCN/WON), or
  • Experienced Registered Nurses with advanced wound care expertise and WOCN certification.
