DESCRIPTION

Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for filling floor requisitions, drug distribution, reconcile drug orders against invoices, perform calculations, unpack stock, fill in stock and store supplies. Pick up and deliver medication orders and medication carts. Refill the Automated Dispensing Cabinets with medications. Individuals in this position perform routine and supportive tasks as allowed by New York State Law under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS High School graduate; technicians must have completed an acceptable technician training program or have equivalent experience. Previous work experience in a Hospital Pharmacy is desirable; good computer skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; Must have knowledge of pharmacy terminology. PTCB certification is desirable. Must be able to lift and carry items over forty (40) pounds.
