Jamaica Hospital Medical Center has full time night Flex and per diem day shift-flex opportunities for Labor & Delivery Nurses. The L&D RN provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to meet the needs of the patients based upon the nursing process in accordance with hospital policy and procedure. The RN coordinates functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital in a spirit that fosters positive working relationships. The RN serves as primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Candidates with L&D experience or Cross trained from L&D to Mother/Baby and/or a minimum of two years of Medical Surgical clinical experience should apply.

o Current NY State Registered Professional Nurse
o BSN required.
o Current BCLS/NALS/PALS and NCC from American Heart Association
o Fetal Monitoring certification required.
o Previous Labor & Delivery room experience required
o Good Critical thinking skills.
o Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
o Alternate weekend schedule required
