Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC), Ambulatory Care Clinic, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager – to oversee our outpatient Ambulatory Care Center.

Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) oversees the daily clinical operations of the ambulatory care clinic, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient workflows, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role provides leadership, supervision, and support to nursing and clinical staff while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise, mentor, and train nursing staff
  • Oversee daily operations of outpatient Ambulatory Care clinic

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction, implementing interventions as needed
  • Implementing and managing policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain nursing practice standards
  • Manage departmental finances and assist with budgeting
  • Participate in hiring, orientation, and ongoing staff education and development
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, assisting in complex cases and emergency situations
  • Lead departmental meetings and serve as a liaison between nursing staff and upper leadership
  • Identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement.

Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an Accredited BSN Nursing Program. MSN degree preferred
  • Current NYS RN license
  • Minimum 3 years Ambulatory nursing experience; AMB-BC certification strongly preferred
  • Prior management or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of treatments, medications, and procedures in a clinic outpatient setting
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
