Full-time shifts: evening (4:00pm 12:30am rotating holidays & alternating weekends)

Our Emergency Department has exciting opportunities for Ambulatory Care Representatives with strong customer service and medical office experience for immediate full-time positions.
What You Will Do:
As an Ambulatory Care Representative you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility. Specific duties will include:
Register patients for emergency room visits and – when applicable – inpatient services, obtain accurate patient demographic and insurance information;
Scans all relevant documentation into the EHR / EMR system;
Verifies all patient information on the Ambulance Call Report (ACR);
Prepares ID bracelets and confirms patients are accurately identified before placement of the ID band on the patient;
Completes registration visit questionnaires (i.e., language, travel, PCP, etc.);
Verifies insurance eligibility at the time of patient registration;
Accurately completes coding of insurance plan from insurance wizard;
Provides patients with the information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, Advance Care Directives;
Communicates all information and financial responsibility to the patient/guarantor;
Distributes patient admission forms (chart);
Perform other duties assigned.
