TJH Medical Services, PC a multi-specialty Physician Practice currently seeks experienced Medical Assistants for immediate full-time career opportunities within our high-volume physician practice office located at 8810 Parsons Boulevard. Practice areas include Internal Medicine, Cardiology & GYN.

SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Manager / Supervisor, the selected candidate will perform various front desk clerical duties.  Specific tasks will include:

  • Performing venipunctures, EKGs, and processing labs.
  • Assisting during office procedures.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments.
  • Maintaining medical inventory.
  • Maintaining patient records.
  • Explaining common medical procedures to patients and assisting in basic examinations.
  • Ordering Patient medical supplies
  • Record patient information in EMR, Pre-visit planning, telephone encounters, In-basket messages.
  • Works with leadership to participate in Quality Improvement initiatives; collaborates with care teams in huddles, and patient experience. and implementing patient-centered clinical integration to achieve quality outcomes.
Requirements
  • Formal training and appropriate certification or associate degree from an accredited School for Medical Assistants. 
  • Minimum of two years’ Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a physician’s office.
  • Appropriate certification or associate degree from an accredited School for Medical Assistants.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Bilingual/Spanish/English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
