Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center . We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. Conveniently located in Jamaica, New York , we are the areas 5th largest Level 1 Trauma Hospital and our patients are among the highest acuity levels. Our 247 Emergency Departments is a fully-equipped, comprehensive treatment area, offering state-of-the-art treatment services to over 117,000 patients annually. We are currently seeking experienced Emergency Room Nurse Managers for immediate full time flex night shift opportunity on our Queens campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the Assistant Director of Nursing selected candidates will serve as “boots on the ground managers” providing clinical leadership and technical support for emergency room nurses and ancillary staff. Overseeing clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel. Building and improving workforce teams. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with ER physicians, residents and nursing staff. Ensuring staffing patterns are maintained and in place to provide optimal delivery of nursing service. Regularly planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of overall nursing care to Level I Trauma –Emergency Patients.
