DENTAL ASSISTANTS – FULL-TIME
Location: 134-20 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica, NY 11418 & 91-20 Atlantic Ave, Ozone Park, NY 11416
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

The Department of Dental Medicine at Jamaica Hospital provides high-quality dental care for children, adolescents, adults, and patients with special needs. Our state-of-the-art dental centers are staffed by attendings, hygienists, residents, and support staff committed to delivering compassionate, professional care to our culturally diverse and underserved community. We are seeking experienced Dental Assistants for immediate full-time opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the dentist, Lead Assistant, and Office Manager
  • Greet, seat, and drape patients
  • Assist dentists during procedures
  • Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms
  • Set up instrument trays and prepare dental materials
  • Take dental X-rays
  • Maintain dental equipment inventory and order supplies

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 3 years of general dental assisting experience preferred;  motivated new grads may be considered

Completion of a Dental Assistant certificate program highly preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills Knowledge of dental terminology
