Ambulatory Care Representative

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center.  We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services.

We are searching for an Ambulatory Care Representative with strong customer service and medical office experience for immediate full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Ambulatory Care Representative you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility.  Specific duties will include:

• Register patients, file folders, and scan documents.
• Utilize electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, insurance and appointment history.
• Collect payments and disperse carfare and serves as the clinic liaison.
• Answer phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
