Physician Assistant – Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery

Salary: $160,000 – $170,000

Position Summary

TJH Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Division of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery, providing care across Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and Flushing Hospital Medical Center.

The Physician Assistant will work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting the evaluation, treatment, and management of patients with a wide range of ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions. This role offers exposure to general ENT, head and neck oncology, skull base surgery, facial plastics, and reconstructive surgery.

Candidates with prior ENT or surgical experience are preferred; however, training may be provided for highly motivated candidates with a strong clinical background.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients in ambulatory and hospital settings
  • Perform histories, physical examinations, and clinical documentation
  • Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Participate in inpatient consultations, rounds, admissions, and discharges
  • Assist with office-based procedures and surgical care as appropriate
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record

Requirements

 Qualifications Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
  • Current or eligible New York State Physician Assistant license
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work across both outpatient and inpatient settings

Preferred

  • Experience in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Neurosurgery, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, or a related specialty
  • Experience with perioperative and postoperative care
  • Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Compensation

Salary Range: $160,000 – $170,000 annually
