PHARMACY SUPERVISOR

New York | Morning Shift
Salary: $178,080 Annually

Lead a High-Performing Hospital Pharmacy Team

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee daily pharmacy operations in a dynamic hospital setting. In this leadership role, you will supervise pharmacists, interns, and technicians while ensuring safe medication practices, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and exceptional patient care. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed pharmacist who excels in both clinical and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and staff workflow
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacists, interns, and technicians
  • Verify medication orders and support safe medication management practices
  • Ensure compliance with USP 795, USP 797, USP 800, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage controlled substances, emergency medication systems, and Omnicell operations
  • Support medication safety, quality improvement, and pharmacist intervention programs
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Assist with staff training, performance evaluations, and onboarding
  • Participate in strategic planning and development of pharmacy services
  • Provide on-call support and weekend leadership coverage as needed

Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy program
  • Current New York State Pharmacist License and registration
  • 3–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Strong knowledge of USP 795, USP 797, and USP 800 standards

Preferred

  • Previous hospital supervisory experience
  • Experience with sterile compounding, infusion therapies, and pharmacy automation systems
  • Knowledge of Omnicell, TPN compounding, and medication distribution technology
  • Experience supporting pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
