Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. The hospital offers a variety of services for a culturally diverse community, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women’s Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our busy on-site full-service pharmacy provides prescription services to discharged, emergency department, and clinic patients as well as employees. Flushing Hospital Medical Center has a full time opening for a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing and maintaining safe patient care for those requiring ventilators and responding to medical emergencies in all areas throughout the hospital.
• Initiate and monitor all ventilators and other critical modalities in NICU, Placement/maintenance of artificial airways, Providing oxygen and medication therapy and performing Blood Gas Laboratory tests.
