Wound Care Nurse (RN) – Full-Time
Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM | Jamaica Hospital Medical Center | Queens, NY

Deliver Advanced Wound Care in a Leading Community Hospital
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking a certified Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our busy inpatient Wound Care & Pressure Injury Reduction Program. This is an opportunity to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment while supporting a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of the Wound Care & Pressure Injury Reduction Program
  • Manage nursing care and technical interventions for patients receiving wound treatment
  • Provide direct patient care when needed, including assessment, dressing changes, and education
  • Promote and implement clinical practice guidelines across professional levels
  • Prioritize and triage patient care to ensure timely, high-quality interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and respond to internal care requests promptly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes

Requirements
  • Current New York State RN license (BSN strongly preferred)
  • Formal wound care certification (CWCN, WCC, CWOCN, or equivalent)
  • 1–2 years of acute-care or medical-surgical RN experience
  • Prior wound care or ostomy care experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Current BLS certification and ongoing professional development in wound care
