Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced Critical Care RNs for our Medical/Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (MICU/CICU).

Our MICU/CICU nurses care for some of the hospital’s most critically ill and medically complex patients. This is an environment where advanced assessment skills, continuous monitoring, rapid clinical decision-making, and the ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition are essential.

This is not an entry-level critical care opportunity. We are looking for RNs with current or recent ICU, MICU, CICU, or comparable high-acuity critical care experience who are prepared to contribute in an intensive-care environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a MICU/CICU RN, you will:

• Assess, plan, implement, and continuously evaluate care for critically ill and medically complex patients
• Closely monitor patients and rapidly recognize significant changes in clinical condition
• Care for patients requiring advanced cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Provide nursing care for mechanically ventilated patients and collaborate with respiratory therapy and the interdisciplinary team
• Administer and monitor critical medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Respond effectively to clinical deterioration, emergencies, and resuscitative situations
• Coordinate care with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clear, compassionate communication and education to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
