We have a career opportunity for an Emergency Department Education Specialist.
The Education Specialist role is performed within the Department of Professional Development and Organizational Learning, under the leadership of the departmental Director.
The role of the Education Specialist is to develop, plan, organize, and implement the departmental mission and goals in providing multi-disciplinary educational support to the organization.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provision of educational leadership to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.
Collaboration with patient care staff and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula.
Initiation of clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and preceptorship models
Implementation of educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards and parameters.
Serves as a clinical resource for unit management and staff to ensure quality patient care.
Educates staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate staff.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
