Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and highly organized Assistant Head Nurse to join our Radiology Department. The ideal candidate will provide both operational and administrative support while ensuring superior nursing care and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and standards.
- Assess patients’ physical and emotional well-being and collaborate with physicians and other professionals to deliver optimal care.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of nursing personnel.
- Coordinate daily staffing and oversee unit operations to ensure seamless workflow.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, support, and mentorship.
- Contribute to administrative functions such as incident investigations, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients on medications, dietary restrictions, procedures, and treatment plans.
