REGISTERED NURSE – TELEMETRY / ICU

DAY SHIFT 7a – 7p

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking an experienced RN for immediate 7a – 7p opportunity within our Telemetry / ICU department.

DUTIES

  • Utilize electrocardiogram and other life-sign measuring devices to monitor critically ill patients.
  • Record patient information and interpret such data to assist physicians assess and determine patient recovery and treatment protocol.
  • Provide patient care and education.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
  • Minimum one (1) year recent experience as an RN in Medicine/Surgery, Telemetry or ICU required.
