Registered Nurse – Oncology (Cancer Center)
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center – Queens, NY

Status: Full-Time & Per Diem
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift
Salary: $55.92 per hour plus differentials

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, in collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, is seeking experienced Oncology Registered Nurses to join our outpatient Cancer Center in Queens, New York.

This modern, state-of-the-art clinic provides cancer screening, consultations, infusion therapy, and coordinated oncology care under the direct oversight of MSK providers. We are looking for skilled, compassionate nurses with oncology experience who are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, evaluate, and address the clinical needs of oncology patients
  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy, biotherapy, and infusion therapies
  • Manage IV therapies, central lines, and infusion pumps safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, symptom management, and side effects
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Assist with triaging urgent or emergent patient care situations and complications

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license and registration
  • Prior Oncology RN experience strongly preferred
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) credential preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy, biotherapy, and infusion nursing
  • Strong clinical judgment, triage skills, and ability to manage complex oncology patients
  • Experience with EMR systems and oncology documentation
  • Excellent communication, organization, and patient advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
