REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – CARDIAC CATH LAB

BRING YOUR CRITICAL-CARE SKILLS TO INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking  experienced RN ‘s to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab, providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Direct Cath Lab experience isn’t the only path to this opportunity. Experienced ICU, CCU, ED, PACU, and Interventional Radiology RNs with the appropriate high-acuity clinical foundation are also encouraged to apply.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiac procedures
  • Scrub, circulate, and monitor patients during procedures
  • Continuously assess patient condition and respond rapidly to clinical changes
  • Administer medications and treatments and evaluate patient response
  • Maintain sterile technique and support safe procedural workflow
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team

Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Current New York State RN license
  • 1–2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab OR relevant ICU, CCU, ED, PACU, or Interventional Radiology nursing experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS required
  • Competency in scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during procedures
  • Strong cardiac assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity procedural environment

Relevant experience matters. This opportunity is designed for nurses with Cath Lab, critical-care, or closely related procedural experience, not candidates whose background is limited to general bedside nursing.
