Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Radiology Supervisor to lead our Diagnostic X-Ray Department. Position Summary

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Diagnostic X-Ray Department, ensuring efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, quality patient care, and staff development. The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance to a team of technologists while partnering with hospital leadership to achieve departmental goals.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Diagnostic X-Ray operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and patient care activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of approximately 30 radiologic technologists and support personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, New York State regulations, and radiation safety requirements.
  • Monitor department productivity, patient flow, and service excellence initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Radiology leadership to implement operational improvements and best practices.
  • Address staffing concerns and support employee performance management and development.
  • Maintain quality assurance standards and assist with departmental audits and inspections.
  • Promote exceptional patient care and customer service throughout the imaging department.

Requirements
  • Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT Certification required.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Previous experience in a Lead Technologist, Charge Technologist, or Supervisory role.
  • Experience working in a high-volume acute care hospital setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff.
