PLUMBER A

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center.

We are currently seeking experienced  Plumbers A candidates  for immediate full-time opportunities in our Plant Operations Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports directly to the Chief Engineer or a Maintenance Supervisor.
• Informs the Construction/Maintenance Supervisor of any abnormalities or field conditions that may prevent assignments from being performed in a timely manner.
• Assesses & recommends safety and skills training of assigned staff to ensure a well-developed Plumbing Shop.
• Maintains shop inventory.
• Layout work from blueprints, models, or verbal instructions.
• Calculates quantity of material needed and requisitions hardware, and other supplies.
• Must maintain familiarity with applicable building codes and other regulatory agency codes.
• In case of a hospital emergency, the employees must perform other duties necessary to insure the welfare of patients, staff, visitors, and the efficient operation of the Medical Center
