PATIENT ESCORTS – E/R PATIENT ESCORT

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404-bed fully accredited community-based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center.  We are currently seeking Patient Escorts for immediate  f/t and per diem evening assignments in our ER/Patient Escort Department.

DUTIES

• Transport hospital and ambulatory patients via wheelchair, stretcher or hydraulic stretcher from one unit or location to the other.
• Assisting patients from the bed to the wheelchair and vice versa.
• Attending to the patient's everyday needs from dressing to eating to bathing.
• Providing support services such as changing linens and restocking supplies.
