Licensed Practical Nurse – Ozone Park Outpatient Clinic

The Department of Ambulatory Care at Jamaica Hospital provides patients with a wide array of primary and specialty care in an outpatient setting. The department operates a main on-campus center and 9 other locations conveniently located throughout Queens and East New York. Our modern fully equipped medical facilities provide a full and comprehensive range of services for children and adults. We are currently seeking an experienced compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse for immediate full time day shift position in our Ozone Park  Clinic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Selected candidates will administer care to patients of all ages, gender, and ailments. Duties will include:

•  Assisting Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and other members of the health care team with triaging and rooming patients.
•  Document nursing observations, interventions, and patient’s response to treatment
•  Perform vital signs, administer medications, perform electrocardiograms and assist with scheduling appointments when needed.
•  Collect specimens and performing phlebotomy for lab tests.
•  Collect and perform Point of care testing (POCT).
•  Review and maintain vaccine documentation.
