Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health network,  currently seekis  Laundry Aide for  immediate full-time day shift position.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Washing, drying and folding laundry
  • Mopping laundry room floor
  • Ensuring proper separation of laundry items.
  • Disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and supplies.
  • Stocking laundry and cleaning cart with supplies.
  • Emptying wastebaskets, and transporting trash and waste to disposal area.

Requirements
Preferred High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent Effective oral and written English communication skills. Previous cleaning experience preferred. Able to safely perform duties using related commercial laundry equipment and materials such as washers, dryers, irons, et MUST be available to work every weekend and every holiday.
