Location: Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, from 8:30 PM to 5:00 PM
On-Call: Weekend availability required

About Us:

The Mobile Crisis Team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center delivers home-based mental health interventions to individuals experiencing severe behavioral crises. Our multidisciplinary team, comprising social workers and peer specialists, offers services such as assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals to community-based mental health resources.

Position Overview:

We are seeking Licensed Social Workers to join our Mobile Crisis Unit. In this role, you will provide professional casework services to patients and their families, addressing social and personal challenges related to illness, hospitalization, and community reintegration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer supportive therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document client progress concerning treatment goals.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients in crisis.
