Our nurses work in collaboration with echocardiology sonographers, nuclear technologists, cardiologists, cardiology fellows, and anesthesiologists to provide strong nursing support for all non-invasive testing. Our nurses play a vital role within these departments by utilizing their nursing knowledge, independence and autonomy
Our Non-Invasive department provides patients with cardiovascular screening, diagnostic testing, and pre and post-surgical testing. The registered nurse will utilized the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsible for promoting and restoring patient’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and team members; and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. The RN exhibits the core values of compassion, integrity and unity.
The Non-Invasive Cardiology Nurse (RN) will:
· Plan and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and
· Follow all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines
· Coordinate the schedule with cardiology, anesthesia, and the various specialties for both the inpatient and outpatient population
· Provide support to non-RN personnel
· Perform EKGs and tilt table test.
· Holter and blood pressure 24-hour monitoring, event 30 days monitoring
· Assist with contrast bubble studies
· Pacemaker integration
