The Department of Food & Nutrition at Flushing Hospital is currently seeking a Dietitian Assistant. As a dietitian assistant, you will help patients understand the important connection between food and health, assist in the provision of food service and nutritional programs, under the supervision of a dietitian. May also help to plan and produce meals based on established guidelines, teach principles of food and nutrition, or counsel individuals.

Responsibilities include: patient visitation for preferences and menu selection, menu modification, answering phones, communicating with nursing, observe and document calorie counts and check trayline. The Dietitian Assistant position communicates with the clinical dietitians regarding patients.

Requirements
Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Nutrition (or working towards) Or Graduate of The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics approved dietetic technician school Or High School graduate with 120 hour dietary managers course (or equivalent) and experience in diet office operations
