Jamaica Hospital Medical Center looking to hire a Director of Development/Donor Giving to secure financial support for our organization. The Director of Development/Donor Giving will set and achieve fundraising goals, maintain knowledge of fundraisers' interests, and cultivate relationships with fellow employees and volunteers. The ideal candidate will be an active participant in fundraising events, establish new Hospital benefactors, and maintain a social media presence.

The successful applicant will build lasting relationships with donors and keep them informed on how their financial input is making the Hospital—and the world a better place. What A Director of Development/Donor Giving Is Responsible for Performing:

  • Collaborate with the executive leadership to create and implement a fundraising plan.
  • Work closely with the communications team to develop a digital fundraising strategy.
  • Establish a network to identify and build relationships with new Hospital donors.
  • Maintain relationships with existing sponsors and/or donors.
  • Obtain financial support from individuals and organizations.
  • Manage fundraising and special events; and promote a heavy social media presence.
  • Generate development materials, such as grants and case statements.
  • Manage the implementation of development software.
  • Oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing.
Requirements

What A Director of Development/Donor Giving Is Bringing To The Position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Non-Profit Management, or Marketing; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of (5) five years of major gift/planned giving experience.
  • Proficient with sponsorship solicitation at all levels.
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of social media.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications and CRMs.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
