  • Personable and self-driven individual with a keen interest in all aspects of the data center and a strong instinct for troubleshooting and issue escalation.

  • Supporting teams associated with internal infrastructure systems and service/delivery departments, maintain and monitor storage, network, and all related hardware.  
  • Attention to detail and hospital safety procedures will ensure smooth operations and the security of sensitive medical data (HIPAA/PHI).  
  • Oversee and monitor network and all related server hardware. Be available as remote hands-on to take action to assist in maintenance and upkeep of critical infrastructure when needed (high-power cabling and data traffic (Ethernet and fiber-optic) 
  • Detect server hardware faults and network issues and provide resolution and escalation to the key principal technical department heads or liaisons in a targeted and timely fashion.  
  • Deliver substantive daily reports of maintenance/escalation activities and system diagnostics/performance. (Must)
  • Work collaboratively with other departments,  lead technicians, and managers to support client servers, including logging into client consoles, rebooting, racking, and stacking equipment, i.e., acting as remote hands and decommissioning and disposal of legacy hardware (in keeping with standard hospital I.T. security policies and procedures). (Must)
  • Monitor and update tickets internally (with users) and externally (with vendors), logging all interaction with hospital end-users with our internally developed Help Desk ticket module. (Must)
  • Assist during off-hours to cover the internal hospital user technical support line. (Must)
  • Must have hands-on experience, along with solid knowledge in hardware, software, and internal/external escalation protocols (not excluding medical safety and personnel/data security). 
  • Be willing to skill-up when called to assist with ad-hoc projects and on-site hardware/software rollouts/fact-finding. (Must)
  • This responsibility can involve semi-heavy equipment lifting to approximately 25-50lbs unaided.   
  • Be an individual of integrity and professionalism, keeping with the expectation of the core ethos Hospital network, with a patient-first mindset. (Must)
Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 1-year Data Center Experience OR understanding (Must)
  • Must have technical proficiency in relevant operating systems and applications.
  • AA degree preferred.
