Clinical Nurse Manager – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 404 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager for our Labor and Delivery department.

DUTIES:  As the Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations inside the L&D unit. 

• Developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans for patients with complex conditions.
• Serving as an educational resource for patients, families and nursing staff.
• Participating in discharge planning. 
• Evaluating patient outcomes and staff performance.
• Hiring and training staff, and maintaining quality standards.
• Identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement
