Jamaica Hospital Medical Center located in Queens, NY has a career opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager for our Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department. Candidates must have at least 3 years clinical nursing managerial /supervisory experience leading a nursing team in a high volume ER and or Critical Care.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the Assistant Director of Nursing selected candidate will serve as “boots on the ground manager” providing clinical leadership and technical support for emergency room nurses and ancillary staff. Overseeing clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel. Building and improving workforce teams. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with ER physicians, residents and nursing staff. Ensuring staffing patterns are maintained and in place to provide optimal delivery of nursing service. Regularly planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of overall nursing care to Level I Trauma –Emergency Patients.

Requirements
  • NYS Registered Nurse License
  • BSN required, Masters preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years strong Emergency Room or Critical Care background required.
  • Rotating 12 hour Flexible shift (Day/Night) with alternating weekends and Holidays
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS,(By American Heart Association) CEN, TNCC, CCRN
  • Certification in area of specialty required
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills. Computer proficiency.
