CLINICAL NURSE LEADER- MULTIPLE CLINICAL AREAS

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks experienced Clinical Nurse Leaders for immediate full-time opportunities in our Neonatal ICU, Operating Room, PACU, Emergency Room, Psychiatry, Surgical, and Critical Care Units.  

As Clinical Nurse Leader you will serve as a front-line care leader for building and sustaining safer and higher quality care delivery for patients and families. Ensuring safe and effective patient care, and providing clinical leadership in the promotion of patient outcomes.  Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.  Coordinating and facilitating daily clinical activities to ensure effective use of resources. Other duties will include: 

• Coordinating patient care.
• Measuring patient outcomes
• Overseeing patient transitions of care
• Implementing new clinical practices.
• Facilitating evidence-based practice on select clinical units.
• Building communication channels between teams.
• Mentoring and promoting the training of nursing staff to effect best practices and advance staff skillset. 

• Evaluating healthcare treatments and potential risks for diverse populations
• Implementing and overseeing safety standards in the working environment
• Educating patients and families
