We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Head Nurse for an immediate full-time day shift role in our MICU/CICU unit.  If you enjoy leading and mentoring others and have a background in Mental / Behavioral Health Nursing, this opportunity may be exactly what you are looking for.

DUTIES

• As Assistant Head Nurse in our Adult Psychiatric inpatient unit, you will provide both operational and administrative support to the unit Nurse Manager.
• Recruiting and training auxiliary and staff nurses.
• Assigning unit nursing tasks.
• Coordinating and making shift assignments.
• Monitoring and assessing unit staff performance.
• Providing hands-on technical assistance, leadership, and support for nursing staff.
• Preparing and assisting with the preparation of Nurse Management, incident, accident and investigatory reports.
