DUTIES
Assistant Director is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster team work and partnership with the union leadership to improve business outcomes. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for the following:
• Developing and delivering training to managers and supervisors regarding current and emerging labor relations topics.
• Providing guidance to the chief labor negotiator during labor negotiations
• Providing counsel to senior management with respect to employee and labor relations matters
• Investigating grievances and discrimination claims.
• Serving as a hearing officer for grievance hearings
