AMBULATORY CARE REPRESENTATIVE – WOMEN’S HEALTH

Jamaica Hospital’s Department of Women’s Health is a nationally designated Baby-Friendly Center.  Our OB/GYN department is a Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, which uses the latest and most up-to-date treatments and equipment to ensure the health and safety of mothers and babies. Our Gynecologic Division uses the newest minimally invasive surgical techniques to ensure fast recoveries and positive outcomes. We are proud of our uncompromising commitment and approach in providing the highest levels of professional, compassionate care to the many culturally diverse, patients we serve. We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for an immediate full-time opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As an Ambulatory Care Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients seeking l care in our facility. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Expediting patient registration check-in and check-out process
• Greeting and screening patients. 
• Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule and review appointments, insurance and appointment history.
• Collecting payments and dispersing carfare and serves as the clinic liaison.
• Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries
