AMBULATORY CARE CLERK

Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. The hospital offers a variety of services for a culturally diverse community, including Bariatric Surgical Service, Ambulatory Care Center, Women’s Health Center, Wound Care Center, and Chemical Dependence Unit. Our busy on-site full-service pharmacy provides prescription services to discharged, emergency department, and clinic patients as well as employees. We are currently seeking Ambulatory Care clerk for immediate full-time Day shift.

Description:

• Responsible to ensure that patient insurance information is complete and accurate. Insurance authorization and referrals are completed and verified prior to scheduling appointments for medical center services.
• Schedule appointments, answer phones.
