CT Technologist – Radiology

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Queens, NY

Salary: $54.23 – $60.03/hr., DOE

Injection: +$2.00/hr. for Certified Technologists

*Shift Differential: additional 10% for evenings and overnight

Be part of a high-performing CT team at a Level I Trauma & Stroke Team. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking CT Technologists to deliver precise imaging, exceptional patient care, and collaborate in a Computer Radiology Department known for clinical excellence and advanced technology.

What You’ll Do

  • Explain procedures, collect medical history, answer patient questions, and ensure comfort.
  • Position patients accurately to produce diagnostically valuable images.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain state-of-the-art CT scanners.
  • Prepare and administer oral or IV contrast (certified techs receive $2/hr. differential).
  • Evaluate images for quality and reconstruct 3D images for radiologist review.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, navigate EMR systems (Epic experience a plus), and coordinate with medical teams.
  • Assist physicians during routine and advanced CT procedures

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • NY State Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT CT Certification
  • Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred
