What You’ll Do

• Facilitate accurate, professional communication between patients and healthcare providers in ASL and spoken English.
• Serve as a cultural mediator, promoting inclusive, accessible care across all hospital departments.
• Contribute to the development of policies, training programs, and resources to improve accessibility for patients who use sign language.
• Uphold the RID Code of Professional Conduct, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
• Support high-acuity and specialized medical encounters with precision and confidence.
