PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT – ORTHOPEDICS DEPARTMENT

Flushing Hospital Medical Center offers a full range of medical, diagnostic, and surgical services. The Division of Orthopedics provides treatment for a wide range of common to complex conditions. Our team of experienced, Board-Certified specialists utilize the latest surgical and non-surgical techniques and interventions to expertly treat and care for patients. We are currently seeking experienced Physician Assistants to join our Orthopedic team.

DUTIES:

As a Physician Assistant in our Orthopedics Department, you will manage all aspects of care for the Orthopedic service, including medicine, pre-op, post-op, and discharge responsibilities. We are looking for a leader, capable of providing high-quality innovative care to patients and their families. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans
• Ordering and interpreting lab tests
• Counseling patients
• Performing various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operations
• Conferring with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
