TJH Medical Services, PC a multi-specialty Physician Practice with 30 locations offers a full range of medical, diagnostic, and surgical services. From annual eye examinations to surgical procedures, our Board Certified, fellowship-trained Physicians and support staff are dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of conditions and disorders.

We are currently seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Manager to maintain the overall administration of Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruiting, administration of benefits, compliance, payroll processing, and workers compensation. Managing payroll process and performing accounting-related tasks for 300 Health care Physicians and staff.  

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting applicants for position vacancies.
  • Conducting staff orientation and training programs.
  • Compiling and analyzing data to prepare and submit reports for general HR activity
  • Consulting and advising management staff on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.
  • Conducting internal investigations and administering disciplinary /termination procedures.
  • Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll transactions.
  • Administering and processing employee Medical Health benefits, COBRA, 401K, Long and Short-Term Disability, Third-Party Sick, Life Insurance benefit enrollments, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Flexible Spending, Employee Verifications, and garnishments.
  • Maintaining and administering performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity for the organization
  • Monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal, and state requirements to ensure corporate legal compliance.
  • Managing, preparing, and disseminating weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reports.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or institution in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of five years of payroll experience
  • Knowledge of Lawson and Workday software and Kronos time and attendance systems strongly preferred
  • Must demonstrate the ability to establish work priorities and apply financial accounting principles and methods to daily tasks 
  • Strong problem solving, data analysis, and evaluation skills and work with a sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and applicable laws
  • Proficient in spreadsheets (preferably Excel) and other tools for financial analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work effectively with an integrated management team
