ASSISTANT ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
DEPARTMENT: PLANT OPERATIONS Jamaica Hospital Medical Center a member of the Medisys Health Network is a 424 bed fully accredited community based teaching hospital and Level I Trauma and Stroke Center. We provide general medical, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency services, ambulatory care on and off-campus, ambulatory surgery and a broad spectrum of diagnostic and treatment services. We are currently seeking an Assistant Electrical Supervisor for an immediate full time, day shift position in our Plant Operations Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Selected candidate will report directly to the Electrical Supervisor. In the absence of the Electrical Supervisor, responsible for the safe operation and workmanship of Jamaica Hospital Electrical shop and staff. Planning and developing work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of electrical expenditures, and procedures for equipment and appliance maintenance. Reviewing plans for future buildings, and inspecting new buildings to ensure compatibility with existing electrical codes and maintenance standards.

OTHER DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Completing and submitting all forms and applications as required to the NYC department of Buildings as a Special Electrician for Jamaica Hospital
• Completing permit/project close out letters as required by Regulatory Agencies.
• Scheduling, assigning, planning and supervising electrical shop personnel performance on different electrical projects.
• Reviewing electrical engineering drawings and referring issues requiring changes.
• Inspecting new-fangled construction along with remodels.
• Planning and preparing work and equipment usage schedules.
• Assessing and recommending safety and skills training of assigned staff to ensure a well-developed Maintenance shop.
