This position is inactive

Supports and ensures the implementation of all aspects of the infection surveillance, prevention and control of communicable and hospital acquired infections. He/she supports hospital performance improvement activities by providing education, data management, and analysis of key quality indicators. This position requires knowledge of regulatory reporting including CDC/NHSN and NYSDOH.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field or applicable work experience. An Associate’s degree in microbiology, nursing or public health.Certification in Infection Control. Laboratory License strongly preferred. Previous experience in infection control with basic knowledge of infectious diseases and microbiology. Must have basic to intermediate knowledge/skill in MS Word, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Access, Outlook etc. Vigilanz experience preferred. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills necessary to interact in a professional manner with customers.
