EMERGENCY ROOM REGISTERED NURSES
Full-Time – Day & Night 12-Hour Shifts Available

The Emergency Department at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is a comprehensive, fully equipped Level I Trauma Center, providing state-of-the-art care 24/7 to more than 117,000 patients annually. Our multidisciplinary team includes board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse assistants, respiratory therapists, social workers, case managers, and other support staff committed to delivering the highest quality emergency care.

We are currently seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for immediate full-time opportunities on day and night 12-hour flex shifts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center ER is strongly preferred
  • Quick-thinking and composed under pressure.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple complex cases

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform triage and rapid assessment to determine patient care priority.
  • Deliver life-saving interventions such as IV insertion, medication administration, wound care, and patient stabilization.
  • Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and clinical responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team on treatment and discharge plans.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, laboratory work, and assist in emergency procedures.
  • Maintain clear, detailed documentation of patient status and care provided.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, offering reassurance and support

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (BSN preferred).
  • Valid NY State RN license required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of ER, Med/Surg, or Critical Care experience (No exceptions).
  • BLS and ACLS certification required,
  • Proven ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments with strong clinical judgment
